Our Wedding Trailer + Tips: Choosing the Videographer

Here is our Hmong-American wedding celebration trailer by Lee from vaughterweddings.com. I flew in from 70 degrees + sunshine in Northern California to 40 degree weather + rain in Wisconsin. For our wedding day, we were blessed with wonderful weather. Lee was able to capture our wedding day beautifully and even incorporated some fun stuff I saw from other wedding videos.

Tips on choosing the videographer:
1) Budget
Always have a videographer in your budget. My budget was less than $2000. Don’t skimp because you can’t afford it! You will want to cherish those memories.
2) Have a vision
Research other wedding videographers and have a list of the top 10 videos you enjoyed watching. Check out youtube + vimeo for wedding videos. Search “wedding trailer”.
3) The Location(s)
Choose your location wisely for bridal preparation + creative wedding photos OR have your wonderful photographer + videographer do that for you! Our bridal preparation was shot at Cambria Suites in Appleton, WI (my house was too crazy/busy with all the family cooking), creative wedding photos were at Asylum Point Park in Oshkosh, WI and our wedding was held at the Grand Meridian in Appleton, WI.
4) Be YOU.
Have a consultation with your videographer ahead of time to customize your wedding video to showcase you + your spouse.
5) Most importantly, have FUN!

It was a pleasure working with you Lee. If you are in the Wisconsin area and need a videographer, I definitely recommend Lee from vaughterweddings.com. Check out his vimeo and facebook for more wedding videos!
