Yosemite Adventures – Camping 101

Our first camping trip in California. We were lucky to book 2 nights in Yosemite Valley during Memorial Day Weekend. Unfortunately, there were too many people and we decided that next time we would prefer visiting on an off weekend.

General Tips:
1) Pack in layers and pack light with good hiking shoes.
2) Be careful with scented items (i.e. perfumes/colognes/scented sun screen) due to bear at night.
3) Bring a hooded jacket (purchased mine from H&M on sale for $10) just in case it rains.
4) Instead of buying a ton of ice, freeze water bottles/gallons of water. This keeps the cooler cool + provides a refreshing drink in hot weather.

We hiked about 10 miles total in 3 days + 2 nights. Make sure to pack something light to eat + water in case you get hungry like me.

Sequoia Forest in Mariposa Grove

Glacier Point

Yosemite Valley

Yosemite Falls

Vernal Falls
This was definitely worth the hike. Wish we had known that there was another water fall above this one.
